| 4/8/13 | FINAL SPRING ACT CONFIRMED: Ladies and gentlemen...Strawberry is pleased to announce the Richard Thompson Electric Trio has just been added to the Spring lineup to headline the Saturday night set. Let’s see what magic we can create together this spring! |
| 3/22/13 | SPRING HEADLINE ACT JUST ADDED: It’s been fourteen years since legendary singer songwriter John Prine last appeared on the Strawberry stage, and the time is right to bring him back! With great songs to his credit like “Angel from Montgomery,” “Souvenirs,” and “Sam Stone,” Prine has been a sought after singer songwriter throughout his career. Many of his songs have been recorded by greats like Johnny Cash, Bonnie Raitt, Ben Harper, Marty Stuart, the Everly Brothers and many others, making him what the US Poet Laureat, Teed Kooser, calls a “bonafide American treasure.” Get ready to sing along…..this is gonna be fun! Here his performing “Illegal Smile." |

| 3/6/13 | COMING THIS FALL: You loved them in 2011 and we’re sure you’ll love them again this Fall. Please help us welcome back five guys whose band was conceived on a backpacking trip in the Sierras, Hot Buttered Rum. They’re considered "a postmodern string band from San Francisco that combines bluegrass, reggae, folk and jazz into a riveting blend of Americana." Should get a fun stage show! You can sample a set of their music from a Bay Area performance last month. |
| 3/6/13 | COMING THIS SPRING: Strawberry is pleased to announce the addition of He’s My Brother, She’s My Sister to the Spring lineup. They’re crafting infectious music that crosses all genres. Get the popcorn ready and enjoy! |
| 2/26/13 | COMING THIS SPRING: One of Nashville’s up and comers, Holly Williams has been added to the Spring lineup. Not one to stand on the laurels of those who came before her, Williams released her third album earlier this month titled “The Highway.” Yes, she comes from country music legends Hank Williams Jr. and Sr., but her music stands on its own two feet, without a doubt. Critics are impressed with her songwriting skills and the album is already being hailed as an early contender for “best country album of 2013.” Strawberry audiences will know for themselves when she performs in 85 days from now. In the meantime, you can check out her video of Drinkin'. |
| 2/21/13 | COMING THIS FALL: Peter Rowan will take the Strawberry stage again this fall, this time with his band, The Big Twang Theory. The band includes Michael Witcher, Paul Knight, Nina Gerber and Rowan's son, guitarist-singer Michael Carter Rowan (Chartz). A respected singer songwriter, Kallick is a Strawberry veteran who's appeared many times over the years with her current band, plus the Good Ol’ Persons, and a host of other friends. It will be great to have her band back playing that Monroe-based brand of bluegrass that she has made famous on the west coast. |
| 2/7/13 | COMING THIS SPRING: Strawberry is pleased to announce the addition of The Novelists to the Spring lineup. An acoustic band hailing from Reno (shout out!), they’re noted for their storytelling style of music and their four-part vocal harmonies. Here they are performing "Soul Sucker." |

For now, enjoy "My Last Two Dollars" as you start your weekend. |
| 1/31/13 | COMING THIS SPRING: The Black Lillies can easily be characterized as a band on the rise, receiving more invitations to appear on the Grand Ole Opry stage as an independent act than any other before them. They’ve also had several tunes top the Americana Music Association’s charts. Strawberry is pleased to add them to the Spring festival lineup and let the fans get to know their musical talents. Here they are performing "Same Mistakes." |
| 1/30/13 | COMING THIS SPRING: Like so many artists before her, Mia Dyson has been on a journey. After having achieved award-winning success in her native Australia, her dream is to make it in America. She’s toured with some of the best in the business including Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt and Steve Nicks. Now she’s got a brand new CD out titled “the Moment,” and she’s ready to share it with Strawberry fans. We've added her to the Spring Festival lineup. Check out her music and see if you agree that this is going to be a powerful set of music on the main stage! |
| 1/29/13 | COMING THIS FALL: Well folks, we think you’ll agree that this next performer has earned her reputation as a highly influential singer/songwriter. Not only has she achieved award-winning success in her own right, but her music has drawn acclaim from greats like Bob Dylan and Tom Waits. Enjoy this live performance from the Grand Ole Opry stage and please help us make her feel welcome. |
| 1/29/13 | COMING THIS SPRING: Ready for some mind-blowing musicianship? Please join us in welcoming the Kruger Brothers
to the Spring festival lineup. Well known for their exploration and innovation, Doc Watson said "The Kruger Brothers are just about as fine a band as I’ve ever played with ... I love to play music with them."
Their virtuoso skills are matched by their showmanship and comedic stage presence, evident in this cover of 'Dueling Banjos.' |
| 1/25/13 | COMING THIS FALL: Well it’s Friday and the least we can do is give you a jolt of excitement for your weekend! Strawberry is pleased to present the high energy pickers of the Hillbenders.
