Right around Thanksgiving time in 2010 the Strawberry office received an e-mail from a festival-goer that touched us all very deeply. In her letter Lyz Moeckel shared her feelings about why she loves Strawberry:

"I have been going to Strawberry Music Festivals since I was 6 months old and after 23 years I have yet to lose my love for it. It is a place where I can be a kid, a teenager and an adult whenever I want to be. No matter how much I changed through the years I knew that Strawberry would always stay the same and welcome me back no matter who I became. Strawberry Music Festival is my zen place and I would not change it for the world. I plan on bringing my children to Strawberry just like my mother took my brother and myself so long ago."

In the past few years all of our lives have been touched in some way by the daunting changes in our society and economy. Yet here we are, circling the Strawberry wagons and coming back together once again to reaffirm the joy that lives in our connections with family, friends, nature, music and the uniqueness of our beautiful community. With all we've weathered together (every pun intended) we feel like the luckiest people on the planet. 2011 will be a season of some serious celebrating! We hope you can join us.
